8 Days Morocco Desert & Imperial Cities Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah – Chefchaouen (Approx. 4–5 hour drive)

Start your adventure in Casablanca with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in Africa. Continue to Rabat to admire the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the historic Oudaias Kasbah. Afterward, drive to Asilah, a coastal town famous for its vibrant medina and artistic murals. End the day in Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous blue city, and enjoy a relaxing evening wandering its charming streets. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes (Approx. 4–5 hour drive)

After breakfast, journey toward Volubilis, the well-preserved Roman–Berber city and UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its ancient ruins and mosaics before continuing to Meknes, a historic imperial city with beautiful gates and monuments. In the evening, arrive in Fes and settle into your riad for the night.

Day 3: Explore Fes

Spend the day discovering Fes Medina, one of the largest pedestrian zones in the world. Your guide will lead you to the most iconic sites, including Bou Inania Madrasa, Al-Attarine Madrasa, and the traditional tanneries. Wander through bustling souks, admire ancient architecture, and soak in the vibrant culture of this historic city. Overnight in Fes.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Approx. 7–8 hour drive)

Depart Fes early and head toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as Morocco’s “Little Switzerland,” then continue to the Azrou Cedar Forest to spot Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Travel through Midelt for lunch and onward to the Ziz Valley, with its impressive palm groves and desert views. Visit the town of Erfoud, famous for fossils, before reaching the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. End the day with a sunset camel ride and a cozy overnight stay in a desert camp.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi – Jorf – Todra Valley – Dades Valley (Approx. 6 hour drive)

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast in the camp. Begin your journey back through Jorf, visiting the ancient underground irrigation system. Continue to Todra Valley and explore the towering limestone gorges and traditional Berber kasbahs. After lunch, drive to Dades Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes and scenic snake roads. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a highlight of Morocco’s history and architecture. In the late afternoon, arrive in Marrakech for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Marrakech City Tour
